1. Exams are over as of 13th of November!!!
2. Yale has been sick.
A week ago, he started limping and he couldn’t make use of his left leg at all. We took him to the vet, who came with the verdict that it was possibly a bad sprain and prescribed some painkillers.
2 days later, we found Yale dragging himself around with his forelegs. As we found out through a second opinion from another vet at the same clinic, Yale didn’t respond to any pain in his left leg and he had very little control over both his hind legs and had lost a bit of weight. This suggested the possibility of spinal injury, or an inflammation around the spinal area pressing on the nerves.
Spinal injury would mean that there’s a rather low chance of recovery and euthanasia would become an option should his condition worsen. Luckily for him, steroid treatments are working quite well so spinal injury is ruled out, and we can expect a full recovery.
3. My new Axe has arrived!
Oh the sexiness!
On the morning of my last exams, so it’s just in time for the holidays too! This guitar has been dinged up on the corners slightly so I will be spending this holiday getting the paintings refinished and possibly upgrading the hardware too. I’m taking suggestions for colour schemes or designs for the new guitar so please don’t hesitate to leave comments with ideas.
4. Guess what else happened the other day.
Release of the new WoW Expansion set, “Wrath of the Lich King”. Although I must admit that I have not completely severed my connection with the game, I am proud to say I have been staying clean for nearly ¾ of a year and not feeling any urge to grab a copy at the nearest EB Games faster than a fatass who sat down too fast (I used to listen to Eminem a long time ago...). Apparently there were around 200 desperate addicts crowding around EB Games at midnight for their pre-ordered copy of the new expansion. To all the girlfriends suffering from WoW, I say, abandon all hope until Blizzard liquidates, which won’t be happening in a while… and hook up with me instead LOL.
5. I have left the band “Super Religion”.
The main reason being, I wasn’t too happy with how songs were made. We never ‘wrote’ our music down anywhere and we had limited means of doing this. We would just have incoherent jams and pick little bits and pieces from there. The band is very creative and we had some kick ass songs coming up, no doubt about that.
But when the song is played differently every time you play it, you know you have to have some rules or standards. Maybe I am not used to the environment where I have to compromise creativity-wise, or maybe I just didn’t like the style of music the other members played. What I did know is that I wasn’t interested in the band anymore and prioritised other things over it.
If these guys make it big in the future, I will probably be THAT GUY who left the band “citing musical and creative differences” on the band’s wikipedia page. But there is nothing I have personally against any of them at all and I wish all the best for them and their endeavours.
lol albert tried to buy that on the day of release and it got sold out all over chch...
ReplyDeleteso he had to wait another day lol
