Many would agree that in terms of technicality punkrock is your multiplications, where as prog music is University calculus. So does that mean someone who does university maths can't remember their times tables? Hell no. That ain't my opinion, it's a fucking fact. When I was learning guitar first, I had to go through all that Green Day-punk-ass-MTV-shit first then I got into metal. Now I laugh in the face of all those 4-power chord songs SUM 41 spews out like Mormons pumping out babies.

Now in a hypothetical situation, if Mike Portnoy and Travis Barker were both held at gunpoint and were forced to play each others' music, Mike Portnoy would walk out whistling jingles while Travis Barker would come home in a bodybag. You get my drift nigga?
